Overview

You will experience the heart of the Great Migration in Ndutu, with abundant wildlife, including the famous herds of wildebeest and zebra. And finish your adventure with a visit to Lake Manyara National Park, home to the fascinating tree-climbing lions and rich birdlife.

Itinerary

Arriving in Arusha, you’ll enjoy a delicious lunch before setting off on a scenic 3.5-hour drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The journey offers stunning views of the Great Rift Valley. After reaching the destination, you’ll check into your lodge, where a delightful dinner awaits, followed by a peaceful overnight stay.

The day begins with the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater. After a brief stop to take in the scenery, you’ll descend to the crater floor for a half-day of game viewing. In the afternoon, the journey continues to the northern Serengeti (Lobo), where you’ll check into your lodge.

The day starts with an early game drive in the Serengeti’s Lobo area, where the vast plains are filled with wildlife, including large herds of wildebeest. After lunch at the lodge, you will continue your safari through the central Serengeti for more game viewing and an overnight stay.

An early morning game drive in the central Serengeti sets the tone for another day of adventure. After lunch at the lodge, drive to Ndutu, located on the border of Ngorongoro and Serengeti, known for its seasonal wildlife migration. Then an overnight stay at a lodge or camp in Ndutu.

In the morning game drive around the Ndutu area, you’ll have the chance to see large herds of wildebeest, zebra, and their newborn calves. Then visit Olduvai Gorge to learn about the history of humankind and view early fossils. The journey will continue to Lake Manyara, where you’ll check in for dinner and an overnight stay.

After an early breakfast, you will head into Lake Manyara National Park for a morning game drive. Here you will see the famous tree-climbing lions, as well as flamingos and a wide variety of bird species. Then after lunch, you will go back to Arusha for your final drop-off.
