3 Nights / 4 Days Ngorongoro Crater and Manyara National Park

Day 1

The tour starts with lunch in Arusha town. Afternoon drive (2 hours) to Lake Manyara, Enjoy the scenery on the way with dinner and overnight at the lodge/hotel.

Day 2

Enjoy a morning game drive in Lake Manyara National Park – of the most diverse known Park for its distinct Ecological zones ranging from the rocky Rift wall and the groundwater forest to woodland, open grassland, and swamp. Look out for the elusive tree-climbing lions as well as hippo, flamingo, elephant, and giraffe. It is also a birding paradise (with more than 380 species). Lunch at the lodge. Then drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 3

Collect lunch boxes and short drive up to the rim of Ngorongoro crater, stop to admire the spectacular views before descending into the crater floor for a full day game viewing. The first glimpse of Ngorongoro leaves one breathless. Once a huge volcano, probably larger than Kilimanjaro, it is now a vast circular amphitheater, a spectacularly beautiful Garden of Eden for huge numbers of wildlife “the cradle of mankind” The animals are resident throughout the year and it is not difficult to find the “Big Five” Elephant, Lion, Buffalo, Rhino and Leopard. Picnic lunches will be served in the crater. Dinner and overnight at the lodge in Ngorongoro.

Day 4

After breakfast drive back to Arusha. Lunch in Arusha town.
